Many companies offer "Expert SEO" options when building a website, which they claim will place your site in the number one rank for Google and other search providers. What these companies will not tell you is that their practices often depend on loopholes in page rankings which the major search providers have since closed.

Instead of depending on these questionable "Expert" options, I use my own methods which I have learned from my own studies as well as the reports and material published by the search providers themselves.

I use legitimate methods suggested by the search providers to ensure that your search ranking will the best it can by while not risking removal from search engines due to violations of their policy.

Flash & Flash ActionScript

If you want to create a rich experience on your website, Flash is the superior choice. Whether you simply want to host a video or you want to present your user with an exciting display they can interact with, Flash and Flash ActionScript open the way for your users to fall in love with your website each time they return to it.

PHP & MySQL

When it comes to the tools necessary to create a fast and effective dynamic website, few are as robust as PHP and MySQL. These open-source tools rely on readily-available software, ensuring that the money you spend goes towards the quality of the product, and not to licensing expensive proprietary software.

JavaScript

A staple of the Internet, JavaScript normally does not warrent mention in the list of capabilities a web designer and developer is capable of. Why, then, do I make mention of this common skill?

While many developers and designers will use JavaScript for otherwise simple events, I use JavaScript only when necessary.

JavaScript is run in the browser itself, slowing page load times dramatically. On a site that depends heavily on JavaScript, load times can be so long as to drive potential visitors, and customers, to other sites. I recognize the risk that JavaScript has in using it, and opt to use it only when it becomes necessary.

This means that I will not use a slow block of JavaScript code when a much faster block of CSS and HTML code will produce the same effect, saving you, and your viewers, time and money.
